Responsibilities
- Accounting and Reporting
- Assist in the completion of the monthly financial close process. This includes:
– Preparing bank reconciliations and following up on reconciling items
– Posting month-end journal entries including accruals
– Updating the fixed assets schedule and recording depreciation - Apply customer receipts on a daily basis and reconcile amounts applied to amounts deposited per the bank statements
- Process vendor invoices and reconciles vendor statements
- Prepare check vouchers and set up online bank transfers for payments
- Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of tax returns and other statutory reports
- Record and reconcile corporate credit card and employee expense reports, following up on supporting documents or explanations as required
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations timely, accurately, and in compliance with company guidelines
- Assist the team in preparing the requirements of the annual year-end audit and other regulatory audits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- A Certified Public Accountant or similar designation is an advantage
- At least three years of relevant experience in accounting and/or finance
- Good knowledge of and experience in statutory requirements (SEC, BIR, PEZA, and the local government)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Hands-on experience in using accounting software or ERP (preferably Netsuite and/or Quickbooks)
