Responsibilities
- Develop and implement risk policies and procedures in minimizing technical, regulatory, enterprise, financial and operational.
- Strategies and lead the efforts to reduce business risks in terms of profitability, productivity and compliance.
- Assess and mitigate processes in minimizing or avoiding losses that may arise during the system, procedures or policies in place are found to be inadequate or may fail entirely.
- Supervises the strict compliance with the regulatory requirements on the standard and government level.
- Participate in security related issues including IT Security, Internal Audit, Financial Audit, Insurance, Fraud Prevention, Global Business Climate Changes and any similar corporate internal investigations.
- Implement risk assurance and data protection policies in addressing risks associated with data breaches and hackers. It is to avoid system vulnerabilities and other threats.
- Provide and identify risk measures based on the appetite of the management in terms of able and willing to take on.
- Developing budgets for risks-related projects and supervising the utilization of funds.
- Conduct risks assurance and due diligence on behalf of the organization in the events of mergers, acquisitions and business deals.
- Train and develop technical and general knowledge of the team members.
- Maintain a constructive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) as a measure of performance.
- Nurture relationships with the external authorities, financial & insurance institutions in order to bring in best practices and modernize the client’s risk management.
- Manage the monthly and yearly reporting dashboard for the BOD reference.
Requirements
- Minimum of ten (10) years related experience and expertise in the field of Risks Management.
- Proven leadership at least five (5) years supervisory experience – in terms of strategic and people development.
- Preferably with insurance background.
- Proficient in Insurance, Banking & Securities Laws, Rules & Regulation, Operation and Broker & Sales Dealings.
- Strong background with policy creation and implementation.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing Senior Management Stakeholders (e.g., Board of Directors and, CEO/President level).
- Highly analytical thinking and excellent decision making.
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with the confidence to communicate and present complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
- Self-starter with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
